I must say I'm still worried that given the importance manager place on 'a good preseason' how light our squad looks with little cover and short on numbers in some positions. I fear that we will still be building into the season and worry our start may disadvantage us in any challenge. The bookies have slipped us down the table and we aren't fancied by anyone. What do we think is missing, as the majority talked about 4-6 players 8 weeks ago, now we seem to be lowering our expectations and talking 2-3 yet we have let several go since then. What do we think we need. 2 Strikers - Important / Urgent 2 Wingers or midfielder - At least 1 is urgent for me 2 LB/RB as cover. At least cover for Smith which seems our most vulnerable position in terms of numbers 1 Goalie - Can wait for me until season starts as i would only see this as backup
I'd go with your numbers as the bare minimum. If we got that number and all quality then we could realistically be looking upwards rather than downwards.
