....... Davey's comments on Dearne FM ..... "they will come and attack us, which will suit us(!)" ....... which leads me to believe it's defend, defend, defend and nick one on the break (ha ha), so ........

Muller

Van Homo
Moore
Souza
Kozzy

Bogdanovic (on wing)
JCR (free role -deary me)
Hassell
Colace
Hammill

Mifsud (if fit - or Macken if not)

Then, when we are 2.0 down after 40 minutes we will go to 4-3-3 and lump it upfield for 50 minutes - final score 0-3.

Can't wait for tonight!

Strangeley...

If they do make an open game of it I think we have a better chance as we then seem to play a more ground based game. I'd search around desperatley for someone else to play instead of Calamity Denis and play a simple 4-4-2 with Hamill and JCR asked to get up and down the pitch with the aim of GETTING SOME feckING CROSSES IN TO THE BOX.

But I only have a "I'm not a Scab" badge, and I can't see the tactical genius of Davey et al from the stands

Reds win 1-0

Dreading it.

No Foster is the biggest blow. Without him steadying the ship I've not much faith in Denis and Darren as central two.

If we carry on with Bogdanovic wide and Mifsud up front on his own with JCR getting in everyone's way then let's ask if we can have a 0-0 now and start again v Blackpool.

hopefully back to 4 4 2 but doubt it (Booo)

I agree with rest of you we might get a result despite Daveys tactical cluelessness.

Sooner we get back to 4 4 2 with JCR wide the better (is there only Simple Simon can't see this)

I also worry about the lack of mobility with Foster missing in middle

Totally agree .........

....... I'd play Hassell at Centre Half (with either Moore or Denis) and find another midfielder to play in central midfield (Butterfield??) with Colace and play JCR and Hammill on the wings with Bogo and Mifsud (or Macken) up front.

But what do I know, I've not got every coaching badge under the sun or any dossiers, and I'm from 'outside' the club

Yep..have to agree..

It would have to be Moore and Hassell for me though.

I prefer Moore to Souza but SD will play 'em both no doubt ...

..... cos we know how much he loves Bobby in midfield!

SD doesn't see Hassel as a centre half.

So back 4 picks itself, probably Bobby in midfield with Hugo, JCR in some weird role, hopefully Hamil out wide and 2 strikers.

However, I'd guess at some variant of a 4-5-1.

Not looking forward to it at all

Cant see us getting anything other than a loving. No Foster being the biggest blow but the simple fact is that we will play 1 up top who happens to be 5ft 5 and not ever look like scoring. 2-0 brum and they wont break sweat

He is a better centre half and central midfielder than he is a full back. Too slow and gets caught out at full back, very steady in the middle.

im actually quite looking forward to it- as long as he plays two up front boggy is wasted on wing

get back to good old 4-4-2 plus I actually rate souza cant understand all the **** he gets - maybe people just dont understand football and are blinkered by the opinions of others

Yep....

and he does not seem to see Hassell as a centre half. Much like I don't see Souza as a footballer..

I like souza alongside Foster and i like moore also along side foster trouble is i dont think they play well together. Not looking forward to it at all, i would be if we were playing 4-4-2 with JCR and Hamill in there proper positions but they wont be.

No, steele based on his performances last season

and his performances this season that saw him dropped for no reason at all just because god was nearly fit again. He's been ***** since he came back and just like an outfield player he should be dropped or there's no point us having a reserve keeper
