It seems like an admittance to me, that Jacob and one other has to be sold to bolster the squad with more numbers. Who will the other though? Not Steele or Davies I hope. And he says that about losing a couple of loanees - I presume thats the two who shouldnt be here anyway.. away from that, he speaks sense. And the bit about us having to be at our best at all times to get a result, its bang on. We arent good enough to win when struggling, and thats why those talking of the playoffs are having a giraffe. Mid table obscurity, as I have said all along, will be a cracking achievement for a squad of 20 odd players who combined, arent worth as much as Keith Andrews, apparently - really Keith?? http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...lity_check_to_underline_hill_s_task_1_4052404 What do you think? Oh, and there was still a little dig at the 'fans'.. good job am a supporter! Bored of his jacket now though. He's had it 3 year according to Dale fans - cheap get!
Jesus He's saying that for what it'd cost to sign and pay Keith Andrews he's pretty much assembled his entire squad at Oakwell - a slight exagerration to make a point. And his comments re January could probably be applied to all 92 clubs except Man City. And sorry but there's no 'dig' at any fans there, he's just telling it like it is. Try harder next time son.
Re: Jesus **** me sideways, this debate ended before it started.. time to go for a bit of the other debating, en masse
Re: Realistic comments and common sense Cool.. lets just talk about Jacob all day, again, and again... :/
Keith Hill & David Flitcroft made their reputations at Rochdale By continually having to sell their best players (Murray, Buckley, Dawson, Le Fondre, Dagnall, for example), replacing them with 'unknowns', whilst still playing attractive, winning football and progressing the club to heights it'd never known before. Barnsley have always been a selling club for as long as I've supported them, nothing will change that. I'd prefer Butterfield & Steele to stay with us, but realistically I expect them to move during the January transfer window. However, I have every confidence in Hill and Flitcroft's abilities to replace them and continue our current progress.
Re: Keith Hil & David Flitcroft made their reputations at Rochdale You won't be saying that when you find out I've been lined up as Steele's replacement.
Re: Supposed fans I think its an age thing. I currently hate everything, and those feelings are getting stronger. Or I'm due a spell in Rampton.
