'Hello Luke Steele, do you feel better now that you've been dropped than you did when you were playing football every week?
If he'd been dropped for the cup match and Alnwick had played I don't think he'd have been as miffed as I suspect he is watching a loan leeper concede five while he sits on the bench.
makes a change him concedeing all the goals and making half the mistakes for em!! hop he stays out of the team! he is earning a wage based on his heroics 5 years ago at anfield! hope thats him done for good.
I left the ground with 5 mins to go, and to be fair the 3 goals that I saw them score Pollitt was not to blame for any of them. Not saying that he was any better or worse than Steele on the night
He isn't perfect but Steele is as good as we're gonna get at this level. It is insulting for someone of Luke's ability to be being compared to (with all due respect) a 41 year old who has been a reserve for a long while now. Flicker clearly wasn't too keen to re-sign Steele this summer but decided to do so after negotiating a pay-cut. Luke's now gone and made a couple of errors in one game and IMO Flicker has jumped at the chance to drop him. That is certainly how it looks from the outside.
Well Steele was on the bench and Flicker hasn't mentioned an injury at all. If there had have been an injury it could have been slightly understandable, other than it putting Alnwick well and truly in the gutter.
myself. j.l.w.b.l,, and big dave saw steele throwing his ring up at the side of the pitch at 19.15 and I mean doubled over and it was coming from behind his toenails 'cos I shouted and asked him if he'd had a good bank holiday, he just laughed and gave us the thumbs up, got to have been a virus, but why have him that close to the squad unless you really had to ?
