Well when we signed him, Daveys comments suggested to me we had signed another De Silva but since reading the comments from the South American expert on the BBC site and the 'rumours' on here that he may not be up to scratch my expectations have been lowered. However I wonder if this prolonged spell on the sidelines as actually helped him in terms of settling in, watching some games for himself etc ...

We live in hope that he can improve the midfield in the way that we all know it needs to be improved !

I think he will be ace

Like a new Alan Little, but faster, with longer and greasier hair, nastier (aren't all Argie midfielders?), and even better looking.

Get ready, new folk hero, don't get me wrong we all love Anderson, but this guy will be electric.

    Hugo!

    I wouldn't worry

about that BBC expert's comments. Saying he was unimpressive at top flight Brazilian football standard doesn't necessarily mean he'll not do a job at Championship level. And the rumours are just that.

I think we'll see a very unfit player who will take a few weeks to get up to speed with the game, bearing in mind that

    a. He is not used to the pace of the english game
    b. he has not played a match for months - he wasn't even allowed to play reserve team football until his clearance came through.
