I imagine he's pretty sick of the criticism aimed at himself and Shepherd, rather than at the manager. Yes, they appointed him, they've made that mistake. But he's got almost the same group of players as Ritchie had and they're performing at 10% of that level.

If him and Shepherd decide they've had enough of the criticism, we have no club. I wish people would bear that in mind.

I'm afraid that is rubbish.

PC could and should remove GS and install a manager who knows what is required. Without PC there would be someone else who steps up to the plate. All clubs go through changes at board level and all survive.

You're wrong I'm afraid. Cryne's saved us twice, and our fans just don't realise how important he is.

They shouldn't have appointed Davey - very very true, but its done. But everytime I log in here, its "Mr Shepherd this", "Patrick Cryne that" - its the players and the manager letting us down at the moment.

Patrick cryne could very well ask for his loan back but that is no different to any other football club who have an overdraft/loan of some sort. We could end up back in administration or looking for a new owner who is willing to take on the debt but I very much doubt that we'd go out of business if patrick cryne got his knickers in a twist and decided not to play anymore.

You're entitled to your opinion. I stand by mine. Where were these people when we were minutes from going out of business last time? Nowhere. There was Cryne, or non-existance. I see no reason why it would be any different this time either.

It shouldn't be an issue, its the players and management letting us down, yet we keep blaming the chairman. They shouldn't have employed him, but lets be fair, they can't win whatever they do.

 

Who makes the appointments and signs the players?

So we should be eternally grateful and just allow the club to drift off into the sunset then?

 

As far as i'm aware

patrick cryne's involvement is that he part owns the land along with barnsley council and he has a significant ongoing loan arrangement with bfc.

To me that means that he has tried to help out by loaning money (greatly appreciated). When buying the land, he was most likely thinking not only of the club but of himself too and who could blame him. So I don't really see how the current situation is his fault at all.

As for Gordon Shepherd and the BFC board. Well I do blame them for the current situation, they are the ones that have made several important decisions that have got us into the shocking position that we are in now.

 

Of course not, but Patrick Cryne isn't the chairman. He doesn't want a role in running the club. By all means, criticise, I'd just rather blame the players for what goes on on the pitch.

Obviously it up to the manager and the scouts to decide who to sign, and for the board to sanction the signings. That bein said, whoever decided the Mattis is a Championship player needs their head examined, cos from my point of view he aint. I wonder if Davey will swap places with me one match and see it fom the fans point of view
