What does "central to my plans" actually mean?

For instance, if say a football manager declared that a certain player was central to his plans, what would that actually mean?
IMO, I would expect that player to be a guaranteed starter, fitness permitting.
I wouldn't imagine that player being continually overlooked. Not unless the player made goal/game-costing errors in nearly every appearance. But then, he wouldn't be central to my plans. I mean, why would you select an habitual failure, who is costing you goals/results? You wouldn't, not if as you claim you were now looking after number one.
It's a naughty one, but perhaps I'm not well-educated...? Which would explain a lot.

Regarding the game, from what I've heard, read and been told, Leicester could and should have been 4-0 up before they gifted us an equaliser. Then the lad that most wrote off (including KK) pulls something exceptional out from nowhere, and we were ahead, undeservedly. So am told.
And then, so am told, we were hammered in the second half but kept them out by hook or by crook, until the final minute.

I have seen the highlights, and what I was told was true - Wiseman (especially) and Cranie were to blame for the goals conceded. I actually sympathise with Wiseman. He doesn't pick himself, and even he must acknowledge that he is no more a centre half than I am a heart surgeon. I mean, you could give me a mask and a scalpel but a surgeon I would not be. I would make errors, costly errors, and look a bit of a tit.
The boy Wiseman, is quick off the mark, and does occasionally offer a wide threat. But so do our wingers. In fact, Jim O'Brien offers that, plus grit and desire, as well as an ability to defend. Hell, I would pick Jim in defence before Scott. But again, I have nothing against the lad other than the opinion that he's an awful defender, and that he is keeping at least 5 better - and actual - defenders out of my beloved team. It's not his fault that he's playing, the blame lays with the manager.

Cranie, other than in about 3 games, has looked another typical KK defender. As in, he's allegedly 'versatile', he's ponderous, weak, and makes errors. More a Datsun than a Rolls, IMO. Looks a holding midfielder to me at best, but we are overloaded in that department.

Luke Steele played another blinder, apparently. Must be his 9th on the spin, and yet we haven't won since he returned, have we? Maybe he'll get the Hassell and Foster treatment next weekend, get dropped/blamed.
Nice to see O'Brien back in the side, just in time for the Wednesday game, same goes for Perkins who I hope replaces the handbrake.
Buzzing for young Reubenio, too. In his limited appearances for us, he usually delivers. Just a shame that it took the manager so long to realise he needed a run to make an impact. I mean, could you imagine Tutu or Done scoring that goal??
I see that Flicker is taking the credit for Reuben's ability, with a random quote about playing him left back etc.

And they deserves a lot of credit for what they've done with Lazarus - actually making him put a shift in. Every time he's played he's looked light and didn't want to get stuck in. Hopefully they've helped him turn a corner.

Goodness i wouldnt be worrying about Wiseman and Maybe the two things he did wrong. I would be thinking hard about who told you that complete utter b*llox. Theres more truth in the harry potter series.

 

Well. . . . It depends on whether you're talking bout Bobby Hassell or Scott Wiseman. One of them is central to Keith's plans and one clearly isn't.

Agree with that except you call for Perkins to come in for Greening. Yet it was Greening's perfect pass that allowed RNL to score. I doubt Perkins woudl have been far enough up the field to even dream of attempting that pass.

Keith Hill spouts sh!te.........he's nowhere near as intelligent as he makes out.........to state he shops in Aldi must make our players feel great?

 

2 mistakes a game seem to equal 2 goals, so unless we score at least 2, we're gonna get beat every week.
