Could someone tell me? Unfortunately I don't get to watch league Football as often as I'd like and know nothing about Cooper and have never seen his side play. What is his preferred tactics, style etc? His record looks ok. Nothing special.

possession football. our owner is a little bit obsessed with swindon and mark cooper. he's out of work, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him get it

I just think last season was a one-off for Cooper.

That said, Wikipedia has his overall win percentage at 40.93, so he might have something about him.

Having seen his teams it's a bit tippy tippy. 3 at the back and 5 in midfield. Who knows what he could do here. Certainly wouldn't be long ball but my fear would be that he comes in and starts tinkering with the 442 which has been the cause of our recent success. It needs to be a Pearson Ranieri Leicester type of handover. Do not f:ck about with something that's working already. That's why an internal appointment might be best in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong I do feel like a promotion from within is probably a more sensible idea but people saying he only played tippy tappy football are right to a certain degree and before he had all his players taken off him by bigger clubs it was possession with a purpose.

They finished 4th after a bad end to the season but they did score the 4th most goals. He did get sacked this season but talk amongst the Swindon fans at the time suggested he wasn't allowed to re-invest the money they received from their good players to try and do one better than the play-offs.

All i'm saying is don't write him off because anyone would think we beat them when they played us. We lost 3-0 and didn't get a kick because of their 'tippy tappy' stuff and they didn't have as good players as we do currently apart from Byrne who went to Wolves.

i'd be fine with mark cooper. seems to tick the boxes. agree with 55 though. key for the rest of this season is not changing anything. it doesn't need any tinkering with. at all
