What gets oil/stains out of carpets?

    You could try Swarfega

    though I'd check it doesnt take the colour out as well.</p>



    There is probably a stain devil that supposed to do it as well -availlable from all good supermarkets</p>

    Not sure if Swarfega is a wise idea on a cream coloured carpet.

    It's just dirt/carbon/oil from the chain/sprockets from the bike, forgot to wipe my feet as I came back into the house! Been scrubbing it vigorously for over an hour to no joy.

    Vanish Carpet and upholstry cleaner

    A mouse that you spray over it, leave and then gently rub.

    Used in on a beige carpet when I laid a door down flat without realising there was quite a bit of oil on the hinges and it took it right out.

    You probably haven't helped by rubbing it in for the last hour though.

    i don,t think folk in barnsley have got round to wiping their feet yet seeing as most of em haven,t got a carpet.

    barnsley people dont wipe their feet and have no carpet.</p>
