I have always found this phrase to be a load of rubbish, as cheats and charlatans rarely get their comeuppance, particularly in football. But yesterday was made even better by the typical thuggish Leeds tactic (and what better player to carry out the deed than Michael Brown) of taking out our most influential player, only for it to backfire. They were obviously watching the Ipswich game. I don't know whether it was discussed pre-match, but Brown had one thing on his mind and that was to take Butterfield out of the game. So we brought Vaz Te on. Sweet!
They're a bunch of dirty b'stards and like you say it was sweet revenge when Vaz Te came on. I personally think they did set out to rough Butterfield up and it worked for them but the outcome certainly came back to hurt them.
I dont think there is any doubt about the tactics but even if we could prove it the FA wouldn't give a t0ss, just look at how helpful they were when one of our players nearly died due to 'tactics'. What really annoys me is that this imjury could cost us around £2 million. Thanks a bunch Leeds you dirty b'stards.
