Mine as got to be Man City away (Promotion Season to Premiership)

We won 2-1 - never felt as scared coming out of Main Road. The locals in moss side were not the friendliest of people

A remember that, our bus never turned up after game and we got surrounded by police and stewards.....for about 20 mins!

When they disappeared a few city were trying to cause some grief but were soon sent packing

A was only a nipper but it was a pretty scary half hour

Maine Road cup tie as a young kid when we lost 2-0. God knows what would have happened had we lost 2-0. With all the coins thrown towards us by home fans I made a couple of quid picking them off the floor. Left the ground to go back to the coaches parked by the boarded up Moss Side council estate and some of our fans were already busted open. On the way in the coach driver didn't have a clue on directions so we went around in circles for ages and had to ask home fans for directions, which were thankfully correct ones.

Birmingham City in 2000. Horrible, horrible place to go, with horrible fans. Some of the local scroats must have spent all afternoon making piles of bricks to throw at the departing coaches.
Leeds, Manchester City (Maine Road) and Wolves are not amongst my favourite places to re-visit either.
Always enjoyed visiting Walsall for some reason, as well as Tranmere, Stockport and Blackburn.

Chelsea 24th October 1981. Went with me dad. We made the schoolboy error of sitting in the stand. We were spat on and threatened for the entire game. Some bloke in his 30s took a swing at me. I was 9. Don't know how we got out of there alive. Well, I do, because me dad were feighting 'em off. ******* animals.

We beat 'em 2-1. Glavin and Banks I think. We beat 'em 2-1 again in the return fixture. The following season we beat them 3-0 at their place. And a few seasons later stuffed them 4-0 in the cup. The first time I ever saw us lose to Chelsea was in the Premier season. But then we beat 'em in the quart final of the cup a few years ago.

    'Orribble club.

Should have gone in the 89-90. Beat them 2-1 with goals from subs O'Connell and Archdeacon. Did the double over them and were the only team to beat them at their place as they romped to the title. They didn't take too kindly to that. We were kept behind an hour or so as a baying mob stood outside and chucked lumps of concrete over the wall in to the pen in which we were being kept. They didn't let us go back on the terraces though, we had to stand there trying to dodge the missiles.

They eventually let us out. Got back to the car and we're stuck in traffic. Leeds fan picks up a boulder and puts it through the windscreen of a car full of Barnsley fans right next to us. He runs off. Unfortunately for him the traffic lights turn green. Car zooms up the road, mounts the pavement and runs the fcuker over.

The second 2-1 win of that season

Was, for some reason, played on a Friday night. A number of those Chelsea 'rascals' decided they were going to spend the day causing havoc in the town. At one point they hit on the bright idea of going up to Barnsley College to attack & terrify the kids there. However, unknown to them, Friday was also the day that a lot of the local pits used for day release courses. The thugs, who still seem to be revered by some folk, got the shock and beating of their lives. In the end, they had to barricade themselves in a classroom to save themselves from further beatings. Staff called police and they were escorted away for their own protection.

I have bad memories of Filbert Street as well - we used to have half the stand behind a goal and their fans the other half - I remember a steady rain of coins and worse flying into our half. I also remember being "escorted" to and from the station - remember the football specials! - past a load of baying Leicester fans as well - not a pleasant day out

Forunately I missed Maine Road and the Birmingham game - generally today its a lot better than it was 25 years ago but Millwall is still not a great place to go but nothing like it was

That was mental - mate of mine got a half checker right in the middle of his back.

Went to Millwall when Anderson was in charge, mini bus from The Dove - some nutjack actually came on the bus offering us all out.
