To get sent off? Dissent or just another common or garden inept ref?

Must have been dissent. Ref blew for them to kick off and they just stood there so I think Luca "had a word"

Looked to me that he got a card for entering the centre circle too early when they were wasting time kicking off

And why did he book him 3 times during the match before showing him a red?

I had a pretty good view of it, looked like Connell gave the ref a mouthful about rough challenges on him going unpunished. Gestured aggressively to his feet and made a stamping motion, so assume he was annoyed he was getting crocked and ref was doing nothing about it. I could be way off though :D

Seems a bit of an odd time to get a second yellow for dissent.

Their time wasting was an absolute joke though. What happened to the new rules eh? The amount of the time they took on throw ins down in front us in the west stand was ridiculous. Never got punished once. 2 of the players kicked the ball the away. No punishment.

The less said about the linesman in front of the West stand the better.

What a pathetic, crybaby man. Shouldn't be a ref at all.

    We move on.

I actually agree with him getting a second yellow for dissent with ref...rules are rules and it needs stamping out.
That said there looked to be no contact on his first yellow but I guess their lad made a meal of it and it could have been deemed to be reckless.
Ref lost plot last 10 mins....but it did us a favour in the end

On one occasion, I saw two players stop a quick freekick, too. nothing given.

He probably called the referee a c unt
    And rightly so.

he missed a horrendous ‘challenge’ on him which could have seriously injured him. In fact it wasn’t a challenge at all - he just left his foot in and tried to injure him. No wonder he was pissed off.
