    The ref did do something

    Hume got elbowed in the head, bad enough to draw blood.

    The referee was of the opinion that Hume, with a recently fractured skull, had purposefully used his head to foul the elbow of the Swansea player and gave a foul against Hume.

    He realised that Hume had a history of running into elbows and awarded Swansea a free kick for his infringement!

    It was surreal to watch. Hume gets elbowed and the ref gives the free kick against him. The respect campaign is a joke.
