I don't post on this site very often nowadays and to be quite honest it is because of negativity. I believe Hill was right in a lot of what he said, the players were **** scared to pass it & thus kicked the ball long a lot in the first half. This happened against Portsmouth for a lot of the game & Birmingham too. Last week I was baffled by the team selection & for the first time very disappointed with the post-match reaction of Keith Hill. The Coventry was possibly the worst game of football I've seen & I'd hoped the manager would hold his hands up. Today, the first half was just the same. I love this club but if anyone doesn't think we're a club permeated by negativity then they need there heads checking. We're missing the entire midfield from when we were flying in Nov/Dec so to think we could keep that going is just unrealistic. We're punching well above our weight & please don't argue that because we've spent so long in the 2nd tier we have a divine right to be here; just look at the top 4 in League 1. One of my closest friend has a season ticket at Bradford City, surely they are an example of how grateful we should be. There'll be ups & downs but I genuinely feel this is the best management team we've had in many a year & all Hill wants is less moaning & more support. Hart, Davy & Robins were too boring in their interviews, Ritchie said we'd could never be promoted again. Most of the time Hill is bluntly honest, entertaining & a breath of fresh air - you can't have it both ways. Keep the faith, our glass is more than half-full.
As usual I thought Hill was spot on with what he said in his interview. He wasn't making excuses or telling lies, he was giving his opinion on things at Oakwell and in general I think he is right.
I think youre right to be positive about Hill and the rest of the management team. It's easy to be critical when youre not Barcelona every match. Alex Ferguson would struggle at Oakwell!!
Reading down this board I'm starting to see the level headed supporters are here in force. Sometimes this board can artificially highlight the negative reaction.
