We beat Bideford 4-1 though. Hayes and Nardiello opened their account. Can only beat what's in front of you.

Thats easy because we are /poo at the back and we need a new centre back!

Although Colgan is **** and i cant wait to see the back of him, i just think he does get alittle too much stick and some of the time it is prolly the defence that should get the flack!

I know the ball has to get past the other players

before getting to the goalkeeper, but he's not very professional at commanding his area and getting/clearing the ball.

I also appreciate that as more people berate him his confidence (if he's any left) will shatter completely.

I agree to a certain extent...

but think of the Man City game where he palmed one in and the ref took pity on him and disallowed it...

RE: Now tell why Bideford scored!

The cross was from the right and Colgan fumbled it because a Bideford player was near him challenging him Colgan palmed it straight to a player only 8 yards out who tapped it in

it was the linesman wot disallowed it!

..despite him being further away than the ref, having more players in his way, etc.

And any comments on our attitudes to Colgan affecting his confidence could note that cos THAT goal was mysteriously disallowed it stopped about 2000 Reds fans telling Colgan EXACTLY what they thought of him.

For the record, I've absolutely no faith in him...yet still think he hasn't played enough to be considered as bad as Marriott. And let's hope that continues (both counts).

I thought it was the ref..

cos I clearly saw him laughing at "poor" Nick

well, technically it was the ref...

...cos he was the one who blew the whistle. But when they scored, the ref looked at the keeper and the ball, was about to give it when he looked across at the linesman who'd decided to flag (for no apparent reason, may I say)

Marvellous, when we DO get "good" decision our way, it has the effect of saving us going from 0-4 to 0-5 (or whatever it was)...for a MINUTE. (I think they scored soon after from the Burns back pass)

    a top evening out, anyway!

    Oh yeah...

    a great evening.

We laid down and died pretty easily that night...although PHart said we "matched" them for 20 minutes

It was the softest performances I have ever seen from a Barnsley side..Burns was a disgrace...he could not tackle his way out of a paper bag that night.

I never expected to win, but did expect more feight....but when the going got tough, BARNSLEY went missing

    Nice Ground though!!
