Today I have sacked someone for the first time. (In the absence of the boss!!) Told him he was "Fired"!!

Managed to get to school 4 days in a row! It's not the first time ever obviously, but it seems ages since I managed to do it. I've done my exams and even had time out to go to A & E to get my knee checked as it was swollen and I've hardly been able to walk since Sunday. Apparently yet again it was due to a post viral flare up.
RE: be careful of unfair dismissal!! No. Temporary contract & was on trial. He'd had several warnings.

I thought SATs were a measurement for the schools performance in general, and not individuals?? (dunno)
RE: be careful of unfair dismissal!! ah I don't see too many issues then . Although when large scale mess ups occur you have to question the supervision. Were the tasks appropriate for a new member of staff? How much training had they recieved? Who should have picked up on the mistakes/laziness/incompetence earlier? All things to think about for the future. Best to mark down too incase the supervisor needs disciplinary action for similar failure to perform in future.
