I've given up grumbling about BFC letting Burns go, failing to bring in defensive cover and, in effect, probably selling promotion for a bag of mabs.

I've also given up smiting Mideonites and gripping my sciatic nerve.

    Aha!

It's funny you should say that...................

    so have I.

I've been looking at my diary and have noticed I have been ill with colds, coughs, sore throats, virus's, viral infections, 'flu and other aches and pains more than I've been well.

Next year I think I'll go back to giving up chocolate!

    Main Entry: 1sto·ic
    Pronunciation: 'stO-ik
    Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin stoicus, from Greek stOïkos, literally, of the portico, from Stoa (PoikilE) the Painted Portico, portico at Athens where Zeno taught
1 capitalized : a member of a school of philosophy founded by Zeno of Citium about 300 B.C. holding that the wise man should be free from passion, unmoved by joy or grief, and submissive to natural law

2 : one apparently or professedly indifferent to pleasure or pain

I think I just get on with things because it's all I've known.

I go for my pre-op checks on Wednesday on the letter it says expect a minimum stay of 3 hours. I think I can honestly say I'm now getting a little nervous so I'm thinking of making a list of things to ask.

    RE: Stoic?

The second definition love - indifferent to pain would be the common usage.
