    but I don't want to hear bleating about number of fixtures, it's sounds too much like excuses to me...it's the same for everybody.

    What I don't want to hear for the rest of the season.

    The short-sighted bleatings of folk who'd rather we returned to the dark days of overspending and crippling debts than continue this steady & prudent consolidation for the club.

    Thats a fair point, but the arguement will always be "how much will it cost to go down"?

    We had a dark time that followed the most successful period the club has ever seen. But that does not mean we should always be over cautious!!

    I've said for a while that the true financial situation is darker than we imagine and I've not expected any real signings anyway

    Steady and prudent is great, but Ritchie now has had time to look at the team and see where the weakness` are. Most people would agree that that is defence. So with the money that has already been promised it is I think time to act and get a central defender. Simple as!
