Are we here in South Yorkshire culturally, politically, morally & ethically & any other sort of 'ally that you can think of, closer to:- 1. North Yorkshire 2. West Yorkshire 3. East Yorkshire 4. Lancashire 5. Lincolnshire 6. Nottinghamshire 7. Derbyshire or 8. Kent?? (clown)
Get ready......... ....the opening tedious pedantic reply to this thread will be - "There is no East Yorkshire." Derbyshire.
Errr Rutland? That was brought back at the same time as East Yorkshire. Decent beer brewed there too, Ruddles.
None of the feckers. Nothing in common with even South Yorkshire. We are Barnsley, and we stand alone. Like.
We, Barnsley are the creme de la creme of the West Riding.... the people of West Riding are........ Similar to the people of Barnsley but not as freindly or out going However, in my experience there is an exception to this rule.........Doncaster This town should be de-coupled from Yorkshire and anchored somewhere darn sarf because I have found the people of this town to be more materialistic, unfreindly and talk with a strange southern mongrel type accent
as we used to be in the old west riding (there was never a south riding)with its administative capital in wakefield i suppose we are nearer west yorkshire
