Should we keep him come what may until his contract expires, then get nowt? If he pledged himself to the club of course I would want him to stay. If he started down the Mcindoe route however, I would take the £3M+ thanks. This club is bigger than any 1 player, especially a disruptive "I love me" McIndoe type. And before anyone starts, I have no idea what Howard is like in that respect, I am enjoying some stunning football from him at the moment and long may it continue. All I'm saying is if he starts thinking and acting as if he is too big for the club, (if), then I would take the money. If not, then yes, we should do all we can to keep our talisman.

now I'm not saying I want him to but I think he will go at the end of the year, unless we actually make the playoffs I think he is fairly happy hear and will enjoy being the captain-Reid won't get a look in if we keep this up- and then we'll get some good money at the end of the year and that 2 year contract will prove a good bit of business again I'm not saying I want that to happen-I really hope it doesn't and that he stays and guides us to the Prem in the next few years but I think if we finish mid table (which I will be over the moon with for a 2nd seasonin the league) and a bigger club comes calling he'll go and who can blame him? He always gives his all for us and I'm just going to enjoy for however long it lasts
