    Anything?

We have no left back, our 1st choice right back is injured. Does he seriously think El Haimour is the answer? He's not even a temporary solution.
He needs to get a loanee in asap. Eckersley from Burnely or bid for a quality LB like Lewington.

To me Defence is a major problem...no clean sheets so far this season. We need three players in. LB, RB and CB. If Foster went down we'd be knackered.

I'm shocked davey has gone into a season with such a thread bare defence.

Well, we only have 7 defenders at the club: Hassell, Foster, Moore, Thompson, Kozluk, Potter and El Haimour.

El Haimour's not going to be challenging for a position on the wing when there's - Campbell-Ryce, Hammill, Devaney, Bogdanovic and maybe even Hume.

So SD will probably use him for the LB slot at best.

Out of the 7, 2 were injured last night (Hassell and Moore), and Thompson doesn't have his work permit in yet leaving us with just the 4 defenders available.

Surely he has to see that this is going to be a major problem through-out the season? :)S)

It is clearly a serious problem

I will be amazed if we don't sign another defender, even if on loan, before the deadline.

I'll be amazed if we do

Oakwell is a left back free zone

    Me too

Souza and VH out, ineligible player in.
Couple this with the injury to Colace - the defence are more exposed without him.
Couple this with the loss of form of Foster and Kozluk's spectacular start to the season (form desertion + sending off + own goal in the space of 5 appearances!).

Bad luck and bad management in equal measure I'd say.

    Lol

I really don't understand the philosophy behind it.

If we did sign one, then Kozluk can cover them and Hassell, or rotate with Hassell dependant on form etc.

I'd rather Potter cover centre back.

  7. Neil Thompson looked good in the Masters - worth giving him a call?

    :D

    Not far off there Journo

Agree Potter should cover Center Back's, maybe Oneil Thompson as well, I am hoping he can cover CB and Colace.

Need a left back (of quality), MEH is a good deputy, I also think he has never been given a chance.

The problem now, is he is getting a run in a team that is not performing as a unit yet.

So when the team looks bad so do individuals.

Always easier to bring players into a winning team!

Hassell & Kozluk, let them fight for the right back slot.

    RE: Me too

Not to mention the disciplinary record of our backline. Very worrying.
