If you are on about Barnsley as in town area, then Jalsa across from the post office is very nice. I also like Dil Raj in Dodworth.

I'll second the Gate of India. Get takeaways from there when I'm at my Dads.

    Good stuff!

Naw. the food is as bland as hell

All the curries taste the same!
    As bland as hell.
Its sister place in Wombwell, the 'Balti Palace' is the same- no real spicy taste, just bland.
Don't think they know what fresh coriander is.
Having said that, it's all a matter of taste, but I don't rate either.
Neither can remotely compare to the Mangla in Sheffield!

Best curry I've had for ages

Agrah in Wakey - went for something different to my usual chicken and had a lamb and okra dish, absolutely delicious, spicy and tasty but not too hot.
