    If Barton did that he'd never play again.
    If the football league don't act on this then something is badly wrong with our game.
    I've seen players sent off this season for fairly winning the ball.
    This dee dar lovely person gets a yellow card for delibarately smashing someone's skull

    Joey Barton has actually committed assaults on his colleagues in the training ground, and members of the public in the street, as well as some outrageous fouls on the field of play and he is still playing. I doubt that this would make any difference to that. The F.A. are never going to take a meaningful stand on this kind of behaviour - never mind Joey Barton. And I'm not defending Morgan one bit.
