Grimsby away, about 3 years ago, approx 3.25pm when we ........ ........ went 4 nil down, or was it 5-0? ...... garbage!
RE: Grimsby away, about 3 years ago, approx 3.25pm when we ........ jesus i can remember that everyone tried getting out and they kept us in were like bl;eedin torture. where you off pre match for coventry mate?
Yes, there was nearly a riot ........... ...... cos they wouldn't let us OUT, that doesn't happen very often! Probably calling at Nuneaton before Coventry match mate, seem to remember us going there last time we played them at their old ground, seems to be nearest 'large town', according to the map
RE: Half time v Ipswich away Few years back now, think we were 4-0 down ended up losing 6-1. Dont normally leave early but that day it was bad and the view at portman road is atrocious.
RE: Yes, there was nearly a riot ........... ok pal, ant heard anything about where we are going. would it be out of the way to go ti loughboro, enjoyed it there for the leicester match.
Colchester this season soon as 3rd goal went in. Nearly always on final whistle or within a few seconds, but I couldn't take any more against Colchester, so it was either leave or boo and I don't boo my team.
Not really, it's a straight run down the M1 and M69 .... .... so in theory you could get off the M1 at Jct 23 and go to Loughboro then get back on to continue on to Coventry (the M69 is Jct 21 on the M1) but it's a bit far out for us, we like to get as near as possible to the place we are going
RE: Not really, it's a straight run down the M1 and M69 .... god knows then mate, it'll be getting sorted on saturday but most of our team is not goin this weekend they're on a stag do so gunna be left for us to organise. so that means we'll end up watchin soccer setdi in tarn
86 mins on two occasions 1) Wednesday (H) in Premiership season, to beat the traffic and get to the reception of a wedding I was supposed to be at in Derby. We were 2-0 up but Wednesday pulled one back before I could even get to the car to get the commentary on. I arrived at the reception, changed into a suit in the toilets, dumped my bag in the car then went upstairs before anyone was seated, and pretended to have been there all along. 2) Man City (A) in Championship relegation season. With City in jubilant (title winning 5-1) mood, and turning a bit nasty, frankly, even I didn't mind a leisurely sprint through Moss Side back to the car to avoid them. Otherwise I have stayed until the whistle every time. Can't see the point of leaving early.
me neither although it's been difficult to keep it that way during some matches this year (Wendys). don't want to though because once I leave early I can never make this post again and look down on all the folks who walk away before the end ff (although I'm not denying I'm often a bit eager getting the half time pie, went down a short time after Norwich's third and missed Ferenczi's)
10 minutes from the end Wednesday at home this season. I'd decided along with my friend before kick off that if the result was beyond doubt with 5 minutes to go, we'd make an early getaway as we both needed to be in Scotland for the New Year & those 5 minutes would save around 30 on the journey. As it was, I was at junction 37 before the final whistle had gone.
Once left at half time, before you moan read this it was v Bolton in 1982, i knew before i set off to the match that i would have to leave at half time to get back home for an event, yet i still left home at 6.30 am and paid the train fare to Barnsley, paid to get into the game ( i was not in work at the time so took up all my weeks money) and travelled all the way back to get home for 8pm, certainly wouldnt do anything so silly nowadays
Have never left a game before final whistle until this season against Colchester. 81mins I think it was. We were atrocious.
