Nothing new mate. My daughter entered a "Stars in Their Eyes" competition about 12 years ago at her school dressed in a black wig with dark glasses and fairly dark makeup (foundation) as she was singing as 'Gabrielle'. Whilst she and her mum were in the fancy dress shop buying a wig someone was talking to them saying at their school the pupils been banned in a similar competition at their school (no idea where) from dressing up as a coloured person as it was regarded as somewhat racist! Not exactly B&W Minstrels is it (athough I am not 100% convinced that banning that wasn't over the top political correctness)?
