Personally I hope its a good one ... though I'm sure there's plenty on here took it as a personal insult when he tried to better himself
personally i never abuse former players as it usually ends with said player wheeling away in delight as he scores in the ponty end with hands cupped around there ears, i have no doubt however that he will get some abuse from pitchfork wielding thugs who believe jacob pissed on there dog hen he left
It's difficult to give any opposition player any kind of reception any more. They no longer read out the opposition team sheet when their players are out on the pitch, so you can neither cheer, boo nor shrug indifference when he is announced to the crowd.
I liked & rated him When he played for us. I'm a bit too long in the tooth for all that pointless booing malarky, so won't be participating.
Won't be there tomorrow so won't be giving him any kind of reception. Would hope he gets a reasonably warm one though - he was a decent player for us, could have stayed longer but took the opportunity to try and better himself. Never heard him say bad things about the club or supporters and didn't leave particularly acrimoniously (iirc) so I see no reason to treat the guy like crap.
Won't clap or boo. A few will sing 'one greedy bastud' to him, which I think he is. Can't really be arsed to sing it to him, rather spend my effort abusing lino on West Stand side.
I'm not going to boo him, but please tell me in what way moving to Norwich has 'bettered him' other than in his pocket?
He deserves a good appreciative round of applause for brightening up a few afternoons whilst wearing the colour red. Not too much though as after all he was only doing his job. it will however be symptomatic of our society that he will be booed. By the envious
It hasn't, but surely if he hadn't tried he would have been lacking ambition? I'm sure he neither wanted nor expected that the move would turn out in the way it has. I've got much more respect for someone like him who moves to a club in a higher division in the hope of improving themselves and playing to a better standard than the likes of Golbourne who hint at leaving us if we get relegated because they've spent years trying to achieve Championship player status only to then jump ship to League One anyway.
I'll be giving him a round of applause as imo he's one of us done good. The fans in the right side of ponty (as your looking at the pitch) gave Adam Hammil some uncalled for abuse I thought he was an excellent player for us and gave 100% every time he turned out for us.imo the abuse was totally uncalled for. The fans that sit in that area are among the best supporters in the country when they are getting behind the team but sometimes albeit very rarely they really do let themselves down, let's hope tomorrow is not one of those occasions. Youuuuuu rrreeddddddsssssss.
He didn't say he has. I won't boo him or clap him. He decided to have a go at a bigger club, in the PL, didnt work out but no hard feelings. Most would have taken the opportunity though, except diehards but Jacob isn't one and you can't force him to be. It's a career. You do what you think is best, you might not always be right though.
Re: one of us who has done good ?? Parky and goughy are from Barnsley Jacobs not. I have no ill feeling to them as you clearly have (jealousy). I meant by one of us that he was from the Bfc family.
Re: one of us who has done good Parkinson is a ****** though, making his name on the back of his roots and then poncing around arse licking celebrities If you call doing good making lots of money, by smarmy assimilation with over 65 year olds and inducing them into parting with their money with a Parker pen, then fair enough I remember Butterfield as a talented footballer though. Why boo that? Because you're a jealous small minded inferior waster.
