    ... That allows a ref to warn a player via his captain that he commits yet another cynical foul, he will be booked?

    Because whatever it is, only one player who had that privilege today.

    Indeed. I've seen it used when a game is getting out of hand and doesn't want to dish out further cards, but at that point of the game, Watson was the only player who had even made any dubious challenges. Just book him.
