Isn't the fact that Howard has gone. It's the manner in which he has. And the fact that it came literally out of the blue. Davey has given no reasonable explanation for me. No matter what anyone say's - Howard scored goals. That is one thing we need right now. 500k/600k - Pocket change in this day and age. For a player that can score 14 goals from midfield, as well as a plethora of assists - we should've been looking more in the region of 2 million. Come on, Chris Brunt went for 3 million from Sheffield Wednesday. I hope Davey has someone in line to bring in and score some goals, god knows we need it.
Hmmm, he's the manager of the club. An explanation as to why, exactly, our best player is joining one of our closest rivals on loan would be a pretty good start...
RE: I'm not blaming Simon... and do you think his job will be made any easier by all those who constantly try and be negative about everything concerned with the club?
This is nothing to do with what Davey wants or doesn't want. On the back of his raised profile during the cup run, Brian Howard wants away from the club. He isn't committed any more to this club and his performances show it. BFC hoped to keep him as long as possible but have now been forced to change tack because of the negative effect BH's attitude is having on the side. This is NOT a situation of Davey's making. For christ sake put the blame where it actually lies instead of twisting everything to have a go at SD.
