at both their away games so far the attendance has been below the average-but it's only 2 or 3 games so isn't that valid I suppose
guess-below average-10452

RE: at both their away games so far I think their away support has dwindled over the past years? Anyone recall those pink panthers that they used to wave about many moons ago?
RE: I remember them, around the 'Cooper and Currie' era That's right! Thousands of the blighters! Ahh! What a goal and what a celebration from Coops at that Cup tie.
Yes, fantastic .... .... both cup games were great but the atmosphere at Oakwell for the replay was something else, and I'll never forget Coopers sumersault celebrations, but that night I think he went higher than ever before!
They're expecting to bring about 600 Normally they would bring more but they are pïssed off with the management because of lack of funding for players!
Stoke.... The official 'gate' for the Cup tie was 21,000, but i seem to remember at the time that we were questioning the 'truth' about that one. There certainly seemed to be a lot more in that night?
RE: Thats a crap following, just over half of what we had at Norwich! According to the Chron' we took 900 to Norwich!
RE: That would be about right, maybe a few more than that Came across well on the radio - good noise etc! Did you sample the delights of the city centre?
Yes, we always go straight in the city centre at Norwich .. ... one of the few cities where you can have a few beers without looking over your shoulder every 5 mins. The support was fantastic, the best I've seen/heard for a very long time, especially given the scoreline, long may it continue
Not many Stoke have introduced some subscription scheme where you have to join up to a sceme to qualify for away tickets. Fans are up in arms about it so not many have joined, meaning a meare travelling army. Also, half of those who do come will be sitting in the home end as they can't buy tickets from their own club.
Anyone remember the 3-3 draw at heir place - we took thousands! Went up from Uni, with my Watford fan of a boyfriend at the time..... got to the ground & he couldn't believe how many reds were there. We got in the ground early, stood at the back, but by kick off we were next to the touchline cos there were so many pouring in - think there were 6- 7 thousand reds there... brilliant game too, not that we could see much.
Aye, we turned up late We had sold about 3-4000 tickets but stoke allowed pay on the gate.
After following one particular van much of the way from Leek? (where they had obviously been on the piss) the occupants of which had the back doors open and were swinging out on 'em and urinating out of the back.
Got there with about 5 mins to kick off and saw an ENORMOUS queue. Though ballax but realised they were queuing to pay on the day. Just as we took our seats it was obvious the coppers had opened the gates and thousands poured intro what was an allready packed, fenced in paddock area below.
10 mins into the game and we were 3-0 up?? cooper got one or currie? My mate turned up after missing the goals and only saw stoke score all game.
Classic replay though..halcyon days
