......will our darling cherub players get on setdi after the Crawley (and all season really)debacle? hth
Hopefully the fans will try and get behind the players and encourage them. My fear is if a manager isn't in post for this game then we could fold like a pack of cards if we concede an early goal. Glad the Messiah has left but the club appear to be toiling in their efforts to recruit a new Manager.
The atmosphere at Oakwell has been like a morgue. Surely fans know that creating a supportive atmosphere benefits the players, but they still fail to do so. The players are garbage in the most part, so they will need encouragement, especially the younger ones, who won't thrive in a toxic atmosphere. It's not easy but true supporters get behind the team no matter what. The club is bigger than any individuals and we support the club. At Wembley for the semi final against Cardiff the players needed lifting. I tried everything to get people sat around us to support the team, get some chants going, but they sat there glum faced accepting defeat. It was disgusting. I sometimes feel we have some of the worst supporters in the country. Don't mind having a good moan after the game, but do everything possible during the game to support the team...
so you were the clown trying to chant when the rest of us were trying to sleep!!!! Silly old Odjob eh?
i was sat smack in line wi oddjob, (left hand post as we were looking at it) and as we know the daft prlck missed the bloody target....
It's ********. If the team play with passion, put tackles in, compete and try to attack/score regularly, Oakwell and its supporters offer up a terrific atmosphere. We're playing Crewe though, and before that, Fleetwood etc. Harder to get things going when the performances are dull and the opposition fetch their fans in the back of a transit.
forget the reception, what about the plaudits after we lose yet again which deep down we all know is very much on the cards with that spineless set of shirkers.
Think someone turns the sound on when we are 2-0 up, not that it happens a lot, at 1-0 up we know we are only a blunder away from being level so keep quiet Only singing I heard last Tuesday was from the East stand that how bad it is.
Re: forget the reception, what about the plaudits after we lose yet again It most certainly could be DT
BTW I was not trying to be negative here either our lot are in a bad shape emotionally and morale wise.Crewe on the other hand are showing some decent form of late, having won 7 drawn 1 and lost only 2 in their last 10 games... I think it could get a helluva lot more bleak at Oakwell before we begin to see any improvement, if at all. The new manager has a huge mountain to climb.
