I cant really grumble at saturdays performance, especially first half but I don't think 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 or however you wanna put it is the way to play. Anyone who went to Colchester will tell you that the system didnt work at all that game and we played far too narrow. Kozluk is a solid full back, but not an attacking force and Werling so far has looked very mix and match. I'd like to see us go 3-4-3 against some of the poorer teams in the league, with 2 wide players being given the ball at every opportunity to supply crosses to Odejayi,Christensen and Ferenczi as if you give them the chances they will take them. Against the better teams 4-4-2. Im a man who likes to see 2 wide players in a team, and at the minute, although we played well on saturday, we aren't getting anough width.

Once all the FB's are fit

I can see us playing 442 in a lot of games. No point having all that height up front if there ar no wingers to provide regular crosses. However I do think that SD will use a few formations this season, depending on who we are playing. Think we have got the flexibility in the squad now to do that.

i think SD will do his homework on a lot of teams and mix and match the formation to suit each game. horses for courses.

yeh lets hope so lads. Against the better teams in this league we'd get punished down the flanks with only one player covering, especially against the likes of west brom with Gera or whoever playing and Sheff Utd with Gillespie and so on.

you can look at the way we defend down the flanks either way
with 3 in the centre of midfield/defence the player to the side usually covers the flank
