I don't post on here much, but read quite often. I don't know one single person on here, and I doubt anyone will know me with the user name I use. I enjoy the BBS for things other than football. The reviews and advise people give about holiday destinations are great to read. Having not visited too many places myself this board gives me some great ideas. There's also so techno folk on here quite happy to help people and give advice. I've got a season ticket and enjoy reading reviews of games and people opinions. I quite enjoy whiteys reviews. It also make me laugh how other peoples opinions can differ from mine, and makes me think about how the game can be played different ways and how we each see different things in a player / game. It shows how football can be played / viewed completley differently. With all this in mind.... WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED saturday! We won 1-0 (personally i think we worked hard without ever looking great)... but I'll repeat we won 1-0. Every player put a shift in, and this board exploded with people wanting to slag players / board members / BBS posters off. I drea to think whats going to happen if we lose tonight.... I probably won't be logging on to find out anyway. Best to give it a day, I've seen what happens when we win. Chill out folks.
Its the same every weekend on here but don't make the mistake of assuming it is the majority of the board, you will find its the usual suspects who going into meltdown and slag the same players off at every opportunity. I'm sure most regular posters / readers could name the poster and the player(s) they slag off.
It was all handbags stuff from people taking themselves and the footie far too seriously. It's just kicking a ball round at the end of the day.
Don't get me wrong, I'm no saint. I'd play McCourt in front of Mellis. I believe he offers more going forward and both offer nothing defensively. I also don't rate Kennedy, but thought he had a very good game Saturday. I like Steele... He can be very hit and miss and frustrating. But as a loyal servant who I believe does a lot for this club and likes it here, I respect him. He also did nothing of note wrong on Saturday. I just dont see the point in having the same arguement over and over. I just could not believe what happened after a 1-0 victory.

There seems to be a lot of folk on here who are negative about nearly everything. I was chuffed with the win, we were never going to play pretty football & pass them to death as we're simply not good enough, especially not against sides in the top 6. I think some people are that deluded they thing we could play Cwyka, Mellis & McCourt in the same side & win 3-0 every game. The thing is the top teams also have flair players & there's are better than ours. Danny's going about things the right way & apart from Huddersfield away he's improved us.
Agree with that 100%. For me only one of those 3 can start. I'd give McCourt a chance now... but any of those three can do a job in my eyes.
He hasn't said why he enjoys them mate. Maybe he finds your football opinion hilarious? Don't be getting too excited before he's clarified.
