    Keep the faith

The pub managers know what they're doing. The beautiful young pretty things who've left weren't as good as you remembered them being and anyway everyone's working behind the scenes to bring in some Page 3 girls for next year. Unfortunately we missed out on Sharapova and Cuthbert (sorry, Wayne). In the meantime, we're giving the old uglies a chance to earn a contract and we're hoping to bring in Lusardi and Fox on loan to add some experience in the Wellington Street area.

So keep the faith and stop being so negative.

    Agreed.........main pub in TARN......dead

Another option other than Pete would be to bring the guy from the Irish bar over to run it - he seems to be on the ball

Too many bars run by too few people?

I may be wrong, but I think there was a bit of a monopoloy on Wellington Street regarding Bar ownership.

As a result, there seemed to be a lack of investment / competition and the majority of the pubs are either run down or closed down. I went in a few the other week - and was horrified at how bad they were. It's not as though they are particularly cheap either.

Silvers was about the worst. Thankfully, it has since closed down.

The majority of investment is now in the Market Hill area. It's a pity you didn't visit Blah Blah - as it is quite well run and (if you are a non smoker) the air is cool and clean. Drinks are OK too.

    HTH,
    Stephen

I personally like Fridays in TARN. Few Ayingerbraus in local before hand, then off into Assembly, Walkabout, Blah Bar, Tempo, Quasi's & Belfry, Livingstones, Soviet then off to Tonic to finish neet off!!!
