I was thinking the same. I think they are songs made at Marjel music in town...

    ...they aren't very good!

It's like Barnsley World is being used to play demo tapes produced by the commentary team

and since when has it been right to have adverts on a service that you have paid so much to use?

According to barnsley though they closed 1575 to concentrate on providing a better service for barnsley world. I don't remember 1575 shutting down for half time to be honest

You are entitled to your opinion ST

But I'd rather you did it in person than on a message board. Who says we can't advertise then? The song's my bands by the way, and I'm playing it cos I can!

I had no idea who's song it was or who chose to play it but I didn't reckon much to it (not my kind of thing). It just seemed a bit odd that for the entire half time all we heard was your own personal song, an advert (is that a proper barnsley world thing that the club gets money for? or is it a personal thing done by the commentary team?) and then silence. The club (not you) claimed that 1575 was shut down to concentrate on and improve barnsley world but how can that be the case when 1575 used to be on air at half time whilst barnsley world is not? And who's decision was it for you to not stay on air at half time?

Arches was poorly promoted and nobody there....

But we played a storming set @ Shipley on Thursday, very well received. On @ Polish club playing acoustic stuff on Weds nite, then Fatty boy's charity gig @ L'wood hotel next Sat. Supertyke won't like it though, cos we dunt sound like Jackson or Glitter!
    Cheers for asking bud.

    1575 is dead now unfortunately

We have no access to scorelines or music using an ISDN kit in the press box and there's no studio to link to, so we take a break. It's always been like that @ away games on World anyway. When we can get an internet link for half-time scores we'll be working through the interval. You're hard work sometimes ST.

    NOw you're getting my point

Barnsley, not the 1575/commentary team, said that the barnsley world coverage would be improved. I see no improvement. Surely they could stretch to a laptop with mobile broadband subscription and provide you with it? They said there would be an improvement but you have not been given any facilities with which to improve have you?

I got your point straight off to be fair

The club have also said coverage will improve in the near future, things have been a bit crazy recently, things must be allowed to settle down following all the controversy. Normal service will resume soon, the commentary quality is our main concern at the moment.
