Has he got some sort of complex so he can't manage guys that are near to his own age Whats this thing about young players These young players are going to cost us if we don't bring older guys in to steady the ship We have got a cart load of young uns in the wings that are untested we don't want any more If he was bringing in a young un that was proven quality (e.g. Rossi) then that would be another thing But not another young un that 'has raw potential'...... maybe good...maybe bad (dunno) Hell chuffing pissing fire !!!!!
Nudger.... Rossi didn't score once in pre season. Why not worry about the players we do have instead of the ones we don't ? Just what would make you happy ? If only the internet was around in the 60s and you was alive to watch them in the old fourth division with small crowds and a crap ground. You would have had even more to say then.
You have a point there. We do seem to sign loads of new players, and then Andy Ritchie won't play them because they're not experienced enough (Scott Flinders and Nick Colgan) or because they're 'not grown up enough'. Andy Ritchie quite clearly said to survive in this league the players would have to grow up a bit since we're a young side. So then he goes after even more players who have to 'grow up'?
he is doing a grand job at oakwell! we are 8th after 3 games! not rank bottom! we have a decent squad and a good manager - lets judge at christmas not now!
Well even I aint this bloody negative....look where we are ....WITH YOUNG UNS dun't that tell you summat...Mr Richie seems to be able to get good things from young uns...I think Mr Richie is shaping to be a truly fine manager
perhaps, just perhaps experienced players who could improve our squad are our of our price range so we are taking a gamble on youngusters who are eager to prove themselves. Now stop thi moaning!
RE: perhaps, just perhaps I can see what you saying but if thats the case why buy another striker when we have 1. Hayes 2. Richards 3. Nads 4. Wright 5. Coulson 6. Jarman 7. Joynes I thought we'd bring in someone with experience.
we do seem to be taking the sheff utd approach. and another "young" player might not be the way to go. But in Ritchie we trust. he got us this far.
What's up with you? You're not happy unless your f**king moaning. Personally I don't know much baout the lad but on the basis of what I've seen since Ritchie has been manager, if he, Martin Wilkinson and Rick Holden think he's good enough then I'll trust them.
