With the transfer window almost upon us, no doubt some of our better players will be attracting some interest from other clubs. So how much do you all think our better players are worth???

I hope none of them go, because the only way forward is to build on what we've got not break up the heart of the side. That doesnt included the strikers I think we need to show a couple of them the door and take what we can get (K.O 100k, Mostto 100k)

I will start the ball rolling

JCR, Muller & De Silva £2.5m-£3m each

    Colace & Foster £1.5m each

Yes peolpe will laugh but why not value our better player highly!!!

    Muller - £3m
    JCR - £1.5m
    Foster - £1m
    Souza - £750k
    Leon - £350k

Colace and de silva are amazing but both lack skills that make an all round player so I dont think would be valued very highly

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.
    Far more realistic.

Way too easy to get carried away.

    Souza £750k?

    Barmy!

    And Leon £350k? Potty!!

I fear we will sell players at much reduced rates than everyone expects

It all depends on how you look at it....

Players from this division have been sold for vast amounts i.e £3m Chris Brunt, £5m Chopra and £5.5m Kitson so if you look at our better players we could demand a good fee for them.....

But if you take into account the Leroy Lita factor (he could be sold for £300k) then most of our players are worth less than £300k...

I suppose it all depends on how much a team really wants a player, as to how much they would offer...

Yeah but Lita more to do with wages.

If he wasnt demanding such stupid wages he would be worth far more.

I certainly wouldnt be flogging any players at some of the 'valuations' put on them by some of this board. Eg JCR is a far more important player to our team than Hume was yet people estimate his worth at £750k when we paid £1.2m for Hume? Bonkers!!

Only two players I can remember lately who we have been 'forced' to sell recently have been Howard and McIndoe. Both had surrounding circumstances which meant they went for fees way under valued. Not many of our current players got that current problem so fees should be greater - unless some more hidden clauses. :'(

    I think that values are

    a) what other clubs are prepared to pay & (more importantly)

    b) what length of contract players are already on - well done SD for getting JCR to sign an extended contract

Depends on demand, circumstances & if they are soon to be out of contract... e.g. Brian Howard £500k

Howard worth much more than the £500k we got for him, I would have thought £3m+........ but due to lack of interest, short time remaining on his contract and his desire to leave we got peanuts for him.

Again the likes of Muller, Souza, Anderson, JCR are all £1m+ players. Even Foster & Colace but it is all down to demand for that player and how much teams are willing to pay.

Who knows....... I read a thread on here yesterday someone suggesting Norwich would want in the region of £750k for Cureton. Where as I wondered if we may even get him on a free, get him off the wage bill. Also isn't he out of contract in the summer?

£500k is looking like a great bit of business now

from our point of view, although i was very disappointed with the size of the fee at the time.

Not with his contract due to expire at the end of the season at any rate

had he not engineered his own cut price move to his mates and refused to entertain other clubs we may have raised the bar to 750k.

A further year on his contract and an excellent start to his season may have seen his value at 1.5m+ but again it always depends on how much we need the money and how much the other team would like him.

As it happens 500k and a more solid looking midfield is fine by me. Allowed JCR room to blossom and Colace more chances in the centre.
