    Shackell and McShane were as solid as I can remember recently, albeit for a handful of games.

    That wasn't the question though Dr Z. Macca and Evans were excellent but so were May and Futcher and they were signed a little later in our illustrious history.

    I think we were quite lucky to have Moore and Foster as a defensive pairing. Both had limitations but at Championship level there were very few as consistent.

    I thought Foster & Shackell were decent together.

    In fact after Robins came in that season any 2 of Hassell, Shotton & Foster alongside Shackell & Dickinson was a pretty solid defence
