Couldn't see from where I was sat but some commotion. Seemed like a handful of folk come in late, stand arguing about their seat for 10 mins, miss the match rather than finding one of the plenty behind the goal! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Was right next to it. From the start there was pretty severe overcrowding on the back row, I'd say twice the number of people there than there should have been. I was on the second-to-back row and about 10 minutes in an argument breaks out between Gaz (Athersleyredssb on twitter) and some guy who's calling him a Scottish lovely person, telling him to get out of his place, etc etc even though all the guys from Athersley Reds actually had tickets for the back row unlike everyone else up there including the guy having a go at him. Anyway this continues for a bit and eventually reaches tipping point, a bit of a fight breaks out until the guy gets dragged away and held back by our fans, then some stewards come and kick him out. Think he might have been a Blackpool fan in our end? Heard some people say something along those lines but not too sure.
Saw the young scruffy kid get thrown out after that incedent and then many more were either moved or thrown out. A few near me on the corner were arguing like hell and one bloke had fallen asleep too much ale if you cant handle it don't have it
There was summat going on down near the front as well. Bloke and his missus and kid eventually moved seats. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
I thought her bloke was going to take a swing at them before he disappeared for a bit. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Yer I noticed that seemed to give it big licks and the do one into concourse and let his lass deal with it strange..... can tell game wasn't upto much can't you lol
Apparently Tyrone and Dragon were stood on upturned milk crates berating Blackpool fans and telling them they're on the journey of the lives.
That just about sums it up. I was right next to it on 2nd back row. The Athersley lads all had the right tickets for those seats but as happens at many of our away games these days, these young uns who think they are untouchable try to stand about four to a seat at the back. They were trying to get more of there mates there and Gaz asked them nicely to move down as it was already crowded to which the scruffy lad in the grey tracksuit top replied "You're not even from tarn, yer scotch lovely person" (At this point, I'd like to say that Gaz travels from Glasgow to follow the Reds home and away and was in no way inciting any trouble). Gaz told him to walk away but he just kept repeating it and looking to start trouble. In the end he got his comeuppance and rightly so. One of his mates was either so pissed and drugged up that he spent the entire first half with his head in his hands looking at the floor and throwing up. We don't need these knobheads at our club.
The lad in the scruffy grey tracksuit top looked about 7 stone wet through. A strong wind would have sent him flying he did seem very aggressive with stewards though when getting kicked out! People can handle their booze one at side of me had fallen asleep missed nearly all the 2nd half.
Are we sure the guys from Athersley Reds had tickets for up there? They were the ones kicking off at Shrewsbury last season and one of their lads got thrown out today just before half time.
