I think he's struggled a bit so far this season.

He was average- didn't really do anything wrong, although the cross for their goal did come in from his side. Couldn't see whether he was at fault as it was the opposite end of the ground.

I agree that he's not looked good enough so far, but his heart is 100% in it so lets hope he improves. Main problem seems to be lack of pace.

We've got Austin ready to come in if he doesn't improve quick enough.

It'd be Austin for me I must say. Nothing against Heckingbottom but I think Austin would be tighter at the back and as you say...has a yard of pace on him.

Heckingbottom offers more going forward so Ritchie will probably stick with him, what with our Brazilian all out attack stylee.

Heckingbottom being our only ropey player ...

...could show the wisdom of not buying much in the summer.

Ritchie said he wanted to give the current squad a chance. The whole squad is young and you only know if they are good enough, when they are given an opportunity.

If Heckingbottom is the only area for massive concern, then when we eventually do bring someone in we bring someone in the right area.

If this is the only area we need to strengthen then I think we've been lucky, but on a tight budget it means we are doing things the right way.

Maybe we don't need a striker anymore! so if we'd bought one in the summer ...

Properly. He looks like a skunk. Was even mentioned in the reports in some papers.

    I don't approve of that

My squad, if I were ever manager or chairman, would have neat, smart and tidy haircuts and would also be cleanshaven.

There's nowt wrong with Hecky - he's had a couple of dodgy games but over the season he'll not let us down.

Agree with what you've said there though, this lot of ours can only learn and develop. In an ideal world maybe we could've brought a couple of more experienced players in to help them, but they cost. Think we need more depth to the squad as I said earlier, but Ritchie and Holden seem to have got a group of young players with potential together. I for one, am reasonably positive about the future.

I think Paul just needs a few more games to get up with the pace of the game. Not been the best this season.
