Leeds tke, just wondering, your obviously a man with money behind him, or so i hear, so why dont you put osme of your own cash forward and buy yourself onto the board?
i am someone who doesnt have any money to invest, so i dont get a say. other people do, if people want a say then they can invest. i simply take a diff view to you OB, you are always looking for the consipracy theory, where, i am not. i've met GS on 3 occassions, twice before he joined the board, once when he joined the board, all three times prior to him becoming chairman. on each occassion, he came across honestly and straightforwardly. since those occassions, i've generally been in support of him, because, unlike you and me, he's at least trying to sort the club out. would we put ourselves forward and take the same flak?
'if people want a say they can invest' ? Right, let's just all go and leave it to Shep & Cryne to play FM07 for real inan empty stadium then, eh?
He may be sorting out the financial side but to the detriment of the football side. Buying McCann? What was that about? We need a manager, backed by the board, not a manager who backs whatever the board does. Ifwe continue as we are then it's only a matter of time before we can't afford to run at all 'cos we'll be in league godknowswhere in front of 2-3000 crowds. Cryne was supposed to save the club for the town not to tinker at football managers with his mates.

just wondering, why did cryne and shep take over? both self made men, both successful, both nearing retirement. why get involved ina club that was financially f'ed, why associate yourself with that?
For purely altruistic reasons I guess. But then again it must be difficult for such people to leave decisions to others, especially if they have a few million of their own cash involved. That's the hard part, but it has to be done to move forward. I don't think it is being.
fair point, i guess for people who are successful, they ahve got there by being in control. the problem is, will cryne still put money into teh club if shep isn't there? if not cryne, then who?
No idea, I've never said get rid of Shep. Just that if they think they caninvolve themselves in footballing decisions then the club will fail eventually anyway. Stick to what you're good at and bring in experts when you need to. I don't know where we are heading at the moment at all, but I do think we have thrown away a great opportunity to consolidate on last season's achievements and stabilise the club.

i get your point about mcann, im undecided on him, the free kick he hit against wednesday that came off the bar was fantastic, but in otehr games he's been poor -, but, if your saying mcann was brought in by shep and therefore shep can't choose a good player, then you must give credit to shep for wallwork (sp?) - other than a stabbing, who was seeming to make a difference.... its the slanted, its all sheps fault that i find odd, i agree he doesnt have great footballing knowledge but, the positives always seem to be forgotten about.
Chairman choosing players is a recipe for disaster. Ask Geoffrey Richmond.Shep should stick to the books, 'cos if he thinks I'm paying to watch a bunch of players selectedin that way then you can forget it. If they want to play FM07 for real with their own money then fair enough, they'll be doing it in front of empty crowds. Even Abramovich looks like he has ruined Chelsea by buying a £30m player the manager hadn't chosen. If it doesn't work for £30m and supposedly one of the world's best players then it ain't ever going to work.
Let the manager manage and the board has to support him or we'll be closing the place down eventually anyway.

agrred, but of course, when richie left, the squad was the same as the squad under richie, there were only 2 days left in the loans window, so some players had to be brought in - otehrwise richie would have been sacked for no reason, or for no apparent gain at that time. you must agree that walwork was a good shout? whoever chose him
