4-5-1, complete confusion in midfield, toothless in attack and a proper stuffing or 4-4-2, even game that could go either way. We're not favourites which ever system we play, but we've got to give ourselves a chance.
Bizarr-o formation. Reading 3-0 up at the break.
Whalley left wing back, JCR holding midfielder, Kayo right wing, Cureton playing just off Macken.
I dunno.

I think Simon Davey will plump for 4-5-1, as that now appears to be our formation whenever we play away from home and/or we are up against one of the division's realistic promotion contenders.
Reading the Managers View he's said Diego, Mostto and Moore are all absent. ie fit. Reading are very good at set pieces, I hope Big Heinz has got the glue off the bottom of his boots. I expect Andersen De Silva to hit a screamer from 30 yards, arrow straight, beating the keeper and the first 10 rows of the Ponty.
He managed 3 shots on target at Forest! Amazing but true. 2 of which required excellent saves from their 'keeper.
For me, Davey can't have that much faith in his team. If I had a team of players that I had had time and money to accumulate, then I would expect that I would have the utmost confidence in them. For Davey to put those 11 players out with defeatist attitudes straight from the off is criminal. I mean, come on, it's 11 against 11 on a grass pitch, with a goal at either end - jesus christ. We should be going out with the attitude of 'We are the team to beat, so come on, try and do it' rather than, 'oh, we're playing Nottingham Forest away, so we better change our system and try and combat them...' Talk tactics all you want - those 11 players should've have beat Notts Forest last weekend, and in hindsight, we should've kicked them off the planet with the chances we had. On Saturday, I want us to attack Reading like we attacked Sheffield Wednesday, whilst still showing them some respect, but not TOO much. Reading are a prime example of a team that plays how they want to play and don't alter their system for ANYONE - they went up to the Premiership, and whilst other teams would change their style to suit their opponents, Reading just got on with their own stuff and did very, very well. Why the **** doesn't Davey do this? Forest were there for the taking on Saturday, and to be quite frank, we missed the opportunity. Come on Barnsley!
4-4-2 But JCR will end up tucking into midfield, with what I saw of Reading this week it will be an open game but they move the ball around very quickly and will be hard to defend against. But at the back they didn't look too solid I think could get a couple of goals (if we play Cureton) all depends how many we let in.
