We need to take a look at Southampton and Swansea and see what they did. I'm pretty optimistic but I am now resigned to relegation. I'm not one of these that sees benefit in going down and hope we give it a good go at staying up. Miracles do happen but realistically, we are going to get relegated.

What would f*ck me off more than anything is if a long term plan isn't put into place. Wilson is a decent manager. He has a decent track record with experience and will be in a decent position to get us back up. We're going to lose some of our best players (I suspect Cranie, O'Grady and Jennings). I would like to see a plan in place utlilising young players (be it players from our youth system or buying lads who haven't made the grade in the premier league) who have the right attitude and want to carve out a good career from themselves. I want to see us trying to play decent football and working hard for the town. Wilson is the sort of man who could implement that plan.

What I don't want to see is a load of tosspot loan signings driving round in souped up Range Rovers only giving a t*ss about their next tweet and their pay at the end of the week.

    You reds.

This type of plan comes from the top. However we have an owner who is wanting to sell.

The next few seasons will be when Ben really earns his money. I hope he is up to the challenge.

I thought we put a better working display in than recently. Some, particularly Woods tried but are not up to this standard. Dawson tried but limitations. Kennedy was decent but cannot beat a man, slow on overlap, cannot kick with both feet, breaks attacks down with kicking backwards. Mvoto never gets in front of man on corners. You can go on for ever with the players. So what about Wilson, has anyone any idea what his strategy is. We huff and puff and kick long balls to nowhere, we get outstripped in mid field, our forwards get no supply from midfield and have to struggle with defence to try and create a shot.
Wilson says it would be suicidal to play an attacking game. So if we are going to play the come at us game with our team, then what is going to be the result. We lose and that is what's wrong. Hill always advocated possession as being KEY. Wilson,s good track record comes from having good possession football so why are we not playing it. We do not seem to have any plan at all. The players are dead in confidence and tend to play safe than take players on.
We are relying on other teams to lose and that cannot be right. Wilson needs to change the style. Bournemouth were not that good but they played as a team and they had understanding of what to do with their positioning.
We are not dead yet but we will be with the style and formation we have at present

Have you thought that the players we have can't play an effective possession based game? If they could Hill would still be here...

One of the things Southampton have is a great youth system. It not only provides players for their own team, but they make a lot of money from the sale of some of their young talent.

This is how I remember Barnsley over the years. However, until recently we had stopped this production line, and once it started again we undersold our assets. We need to rectify this is we are to survive and build.

tbh, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see ben leave next year. he's an ambitious man and i doubt he wants to be associated with relegation and 3rd tier football. just my thoughts...
