By that I of course mean the season ticket reminder.
You know it will contain a lot of ********.
    Will you fall for it?

It depends on the weather. If it's still cold, it will add useful warmth to my living room.

Get a season ticket like every other year. If you don’t want to, then don’t renew but don’t keep banging on about it

Wasnt it all online last year? I will renew because as much as I dont rate the owners I've gone too many years without one due to family commitments.

I'll renew. Match days are, thankfully at present, more than just the game itself. Many of my friendships are built around the match, people I see fortnightly and have done for 40 years.

Pricing is the most likely thing that would drive me away and it'll be interesting to see what the proposals are. My lad is now at University for 5 years, daughter likely to be doing the same in 2 years time. So I've knocked away matches on the head this season, could probably stretch to a handful if I really wanted, but I've seen nothing to convince me to part with cash I can currently put to better use elsewhere.

In the years I've supported Barnsley, we've had times as bad as this, and all too often we've followed a wonderful season with years of mediocrity. So it makes the successful times even sweeter. That's why, even when I feel as low as I do at our clubs current predicament, I have a wry laugh at fans of Man Utd, Arsenal, describing the disaster of not making the champions league, as if there's an entitlement. They haven't got a bloody clue.

When August comes around, whatever division we are in, I'll have that same blind optimism as always. But as I've got older, I tend to hope for success rather than expect it.

As I have mentioned before, League 1 I'll renew. Championship (highly unlikely after yesterday), I'll pick my games. And use the red button.

Not falling for anything, I've said on here before, I couldn't quit even if I wanted to but for the life of me I don't understand folk coming on here trying to persuade ticket holders not renew.

I’ll probably whinge, complain, slag the owners off, talk about why should I invest in the club when the owners aren’t and go on about how much I’m enjoying my Saturdays with the family...then renew

We've all said that we won't renew next season and will probably go back to picking our games, like Metatarsal also posted for me it's as much about seeing my friends in Barnsley as it is supporting the club and I too have a daughter at Uni to support.
Also it doesn't sit well with me handing over cash to this board it's almost like condoning their strategy.

I agree with most of what you say mate. However, these owners are making us a bit of a laughing stock which is hard to stomach. I really wish we could get rid of them and short of people withdrawing their support there’s not much else we can do to show them how we feel.
I’m a bit undecided at the moment on ST renewal and the fact we have to decide in April makes the decision even harder as we’ve no idea what mind boggling decisions might me made in the summer.

Int recycling faster than Dan Jarvis’s pre-election flyer.
16 games to show some intent then early summer I’m afraid the early bird will be lost on me this year I’m not being gullible !
Get ready for the you should support your team b/s for years it’s been hard work motivating myself to go, always dreaded the alternative to match days, the match is only part of match day its meeting with friends and having a pint ! But we are in a rut a vicious circle

While I understand everything Metatarsal said in his excellent post and agree with every word I will not renew. Not because we're crap, not because, in all likelihood, we'll be relegated, that doesn't make any difference, but because I no longer believe we're a football club. It is my opinion we're a trading organisation. We buy and sell football players to make profit. The games on a Saturday are a shop window for our customers to see our wares. I will not support that. I will not give people my money to help them carry on doing it.

Completely understand that, and respect it. Multitude of opinions in this thread, none of them "right or wrong".

At the moment, I'm undecided. My late Father bought me my first season ticket for the 1969/70 season and I've had one ever since, so even being undecided is a huge shift in attitude for me. It's definitely not a knee jerk reaction after an extremely poor season, as far as I'm concerned. The division we're playing in is totally irrelevant to me, I love our club. But the way those in charge have acted since promotion last Spring really sickens me. Their actions and deliberate refusal to communicate with the fan base on a regular basis has left me feeling very disillusioned with the club.

Not exclusively. I renewed up at the ground.
I like going up to the ground to renew. It's the only time I'm guaranteed not to come away from Oakwell in a bad mood.

I'll be doing the same again this time around.
