what with all this doom & Gloom? On a positive note....... can I just say

I really cannot understand where this negativity has come from, I think people need to take a reality check and realise that we are a relatively small club,our attendances are low and only match that of nearby rugby league side Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, andwe do not have millions in the bank.</p>

I myself am a very happy Barnsley fan, this seasonI have been entertainedand have seensome of the bestfootball I have ever seen down at Oakwell. Not all games have gone to plan, but this team and the football they play is of a far higher standard that we have been offered over recent times (the last 5 years at least).Simon Davey has worked wonders in his time in charge and proved to us that he deserves the job. He is an up and coming manager and has made some mistakes along the way but we cannot forget what he has achieved so far. To continue on a positive note I would like to point out the following: </p>

1. Firstly and most importantly we are financially stable unlike many other coca-cola league sides (a big wellmust go toMr Shepherd &amp; the Board). </p>

2. We currently play in the second teir of English football (the Championship).</p>

3. Wehave made it to the FA CUP semi-final at wembley and have a reasonable (and probably our best ever) chance to win the competition. </p>

4. The FA cup success has reportedly netted us upto &pound;1m.</p>

5. In the last 10 years we have had 2x promotions including a season in the premiership, and have been to 2x playoff finals (Wembley &amp; Cardiff).</p>

6. Personally I feelthis is the strongest squad we have had for some time. Muller/ Steele are arguably the best keepers we haveever seenat Oakwell. Defensively Souza, Nyatanga, Foster, Hassell &amp; Kozluk are the best line up we have had since our premiership days. Howard &amp; De Silva are quality in the middle of the park and Devaney &amp; JCR on their day are the best wingers in the championship.Finally Macken is without doubt the best strikerwe have seen at the club for some time. </p>

7. We have a modern all seater stadium, that the clubs owns and rumours suggest that we are planning further improvments to the old west stand. </p>

8. Weare NOT currently in the relegation zone and haven't been all season. </p>

9. We currently have 46pointswith 7games and a total of 21 points left to play for including 3x homes games. I predict we willpick up a further8points [wins againstHull(H) &amp; Leicester (H) and draws against Burnley (A) &amp; PNE (A)]making a season total 54points. In the past four seasons no team has been relegated with 52points or more. See below current league table, remaining fixtures and final standings from previous seasons. </p>

Wolves match 1-0 not a great match at all. Played Ok but not for the whole match.

I say it as I see it, You have your opinions and I have mine , I dont see why I cant reply to someone without having to agree with them,
I dont think we are that much better than 2 years ago at all, we have some better players, but not all of them are.I dont like to see the ball lumped up field , I cant understand why Davey plays that way when we go a goal down, it never works , play the ball into the feet of the strikers and then maybe we will see some goals.

You weren't at the same match as me owd ****. We played out of our skin that night, especially Campbell Ryce. Even McCarthy admitted it was a 1-0 slapping.

Reading that...

It will be between us and Southampton for the third relegation slot and I think it is more likely to be Southampton. I hadn't realised what a tough run-in they have.

It will be a big bonus if we get anything at all from our three coming away games and I think that we will drop into the relegation zone during this time. If we have not dropped into it after the third away game, we will be safe almost certainly. The home games are worrying too, as Hull are bang in form and Leicester hard to beat away. Looks as though Charlton is our easiest home game and that could be tricky - Andy Gray, anyone?

1. Stoke (H) - Stoke are on fire and difficult to beat can't see Owls getting owt out of that one.
2. Coventry (H) - six pointer could go either way.
3. Scunny (A) - Scunny will be up for getting one over x-manager Laws and especially on home turf.
4. Sheff U (A) - Derby game, I would put money on the in form Blades especially at home.
5. Plymouth (H) - In form and Sturrock's team will be up for this one.
6. Blackpool (A) - in form and good at home.
7. Leicester (A) - six pointer could go either way.
8. Norwich (H) - another six pointer. But Norwich are finding some form under Roeder.

Then again Look at Norwich
1. Bristol (A) - In form and looking to stay in the automatic promotion places. Good at home.
2. Burnley (H) - Inconsitent but pushing for playoff spot, tough one to call.
