Macken is a Manc, Howard is from Southampton, Odejayi probably has a British passport as I take it he’s lived here just about most of his life.

I had this when someone was moaning about Davey not signing any English players last pre season.

I said Andy Johnson is English. With my theory been him born in Bristol, and never played for a Welsh club so I can’t see him ever living in Wales either.

But someone’s answer was the fact he plays/played for Wales makes him Welsh.

Yesh, but you think Howard leaving would be no great loss

So your opinion on anything is completely invalid.

what I said

Was that he would be no great loss if we found a reliable goal scorer and a solid midfielder to play alongside a recovered Da Silva.

I'll give you a barmier view than mine

"if howard leaves we will be relegated"

Chortletastic

I don't think the foreigner thing will affect us as much as everyone says it will. As see it there were already 6 or 7 English (or would the ruling be British?) players in our starting 11 anyway.

Last season, without Howard, we'd have been relegated

Next season, if he goes and we don't bring in some real quality, we'll be relegated. Chortle about that all you like, but then don't go moaning about it when we're playing in League 1 for the 2009/2010 season. I just hope Simon Davey is more aware of how crucial Brian Howard is to the team than you are.

Theres too many people on here that basically lick Howards anal region.
He's a good player yeh, Possibly one of our best players.
Last season we had 3 or 4 games without against good sides and we more than held our own.
14 goals from midfield yh is spot on.
Frum what I've heard 3,4 Million is too high never mind 10 that Cryne optimistically valued him at.
Fact remains if recieve a 2,3 Million offer is top business.
Can buy us a good striker who will score the goals Howard did. and another midfield type such as Howard.
The money will also boost our wage structure. All round good business for Tarn if howard is to leave for a couple Million.
