    you wouldn't get in

    stewards and all that lot. but if you rang/wrote in advance then they may let you. I'm guessing it is a school trumpet right? You should try thinking about getting the whole band down to oakwell to play. they might let you play on the pitch before the game and/or let certain sections play in one of the emptier stands during the game.

    im not in a school band...im in The Town Concert Band (with P.A.D.S) and in two bands with holin hammerton....you might have heard them before a match before....they are called the Dearne Big Band

    Used to be in one of his bands myself. have you had the pleasure of a weeks stay in filey yet?

    Ask him to try and organise another pre match session but this time actually inside the ground. Playing outside the ponty end doesnt really do anything for atmosphere, i've walked passed bands playing there loads of times and never taken much notice because the tannoy system wasnt even turned down so you/they were competing with thin lizzy. What would really work would be the band playing on the pitch before the game building into the band itself actually playing fanfare for a common man before blasting out the themetune. Knowing hammerton he'd be able to make cocoon by timerider sound really funky and atmospheric played live.
