For some kind of fan card?
So you get issued a card which is used for entry to the games. If you buy a season ticket it is loaded with the full season. If you buy individual tickets it is added. If you pay on the day, you have the option of swiping or whatever to add the loyalty. If you lose it, the card is cancelled and a new card issued. You can buy over phone/online without needing tickets posting. You don't need the season ticket book which is easy to lose. Everybody wins.
But how cost effective is it?
Costs:
New computer systems. Card writers/readers in ticket office. Staff training? Updated turnstyles to accept card.
Savings:
Less turnstyle staff because can be automated. Less box office staff because of telephone/internet booking. Printing/postage costs associated with tickets. Season ticket book costs, because card lasts more than 1 season.
How many years would it take to break even?

Profit from year one.
A national company running the whole show would subsidise the hardware costs to the club. You'd get your away tickets with the same log-in. When tickets are at a premium you just register your request and the system serves everybody in order. Everyone's a winner.

No-brainer It would pay for itself. It would also serve the club if we continue our recent progress up the league(s), and it would serve the club if we fell down the league(s) in the event of us pulling a big team in the cup(s).
'nuff said
