depends where do you live and how many games can you actually get to.... for the ones like me who live a good many miles away its great.
RE: depends i live in barnsley i have a season ticket go to one away game every mounth but im mean like videos live coverage
well you have Oakwell radio for one ... and Virgin Sports website show all the goals and hi lights...and thats free, so for you I would not bother if it were me.
RE: well you have Oakwell radio for one ... I was gonna say the same bout Virgin. The highlights and even commentry of them are exactly the same than on Barnsley world. I got it last year for the away games. I dont think i will bother this year. Just stick to Sky Sports News
RE: Who do you think does the commentary on Barnsley world? Exactly. So if Oakwell radio is **** then the Barnsley World will be anall. And to be honest theyre never gonna win any awards
Further proof that Dragon tyke talks rubbish "for the ones like me who live a good many miles away its great".
I have heard Barnsley World called many things but thats the first time I have heard it called great.
Its the only place you can get commentary online (at least most of the time - though sometimes you can only get the opposition one) so if you want a commentary for games you cant get to you really have no option No other reason I can think of though - the highlights etc are the same as virgin and there isnt really much else - a few interviews but nothing worth paying for.

It failed to deliver the promised commentary Yesterday

RE: well you have Oakwell radio for one ... About as constructive a criticism as I could expect off the BBS eh.
RE: Cheers folks I appreciate you most of the time - when We actually get to hear the commentary that is
No mate I was on about the other two. I agree the sound quality and equipment is crap, but that's not the fault of any of the commentators and believe me there's no-one who wants it sorted more than myself, Adam and Matt. I can't speak about myself, but I think Matt's an excellent commentator and Adam's a good summariser even if he does moan a bit
RE: Cheers folks Like I've posted to Jay, it does my head in as much as anyone else's. Hopefully we'll have some new equipment soon and Premium TV will connect the commentaries for us every week!
The commentary is good (what I've heard of it) The equipment and broadcast quality is appalling (for various reason's), and none of that is your fault. The only thing that lets down the commentary team is the after match interviews where they are all too scared to ask Simon Daver proper questions and instead are forced to ask him what he wants. Someone needs to take a stand and ask the hard questions. Afterall the station is supposed to serve the fans. If davey tries saying no more interviews then the club will VERY quickly find themselves alienating customers. Basically, he DARENT say that to the clubs own radio station.
RE: The commentary is good (what I've heard of it) I ask questions mate but if they're 'difficult' ones Simon often doesn't like answering them or blocks the question in politician style - very well in fact! I'm usually the one in press conferences who asks him a tough question when we're struggling, did a number of times last season. I shall take your thoughts on board though of course.
Journo, you know he will never give you a straight answer I doubt if he can lay straight in bed. Simon Davey cannot accept the fact that not everyone wants to hear the same old bilge week after week. Its no good saying that the performance was not good enough and things will change etc, knowing full well just what he is going to say at the next interview. Last season he said the same thing after every away match.
