... the Hill baiters will have their day. If the Reds win 3-0 and play good stuff to boot the result will be a blip based on the recent performances e.g. at Coventry. If the Reds lose 3-0 it will be 'I told you so... Hill is crap and the sooner we ditch him the better'. We will have all ther short-term arguments expounded yet again, i.e. Hill is recruiting lower league players, theyre not proven, 'I want a top-notch Premier League loaneee', 'the guy always gets his tactics wrong', 'I want my mummy', 'sack him now', 'do I look good in a dress on a Saturday night?', 'how much longer do we have to persevere with someone who has no ambition?'

I think Hill is doing a fantastic job as I have said numerous times before. He has no money to work with, is still expected to reduce costs and everyone wants him to produce a team that plays like Barcelona every week. The guy will do the club proud if people have the faith. We have already seen some great football games this season, much more entertaining than Robins or Davey and in spite of the midfield disappearing (Butterfield, Drinkwater and now Perkins) and the main impetus of the attack (Vaz Te), we are still in a decent position...
The anti-Hill brigade have no thinking genes....
    Nuff said for now

I think this board is a mirror image of our football this season-consistently inconsistent!

if hill is that great, apart from vaz te and drinkwater ( who aern't even here) who exactly has he brought to the club who's been any good? perkins every now and again maybe.
butterfields early season form has kept us up this season, he won't be here to do it next season.

So another way of looking at what youre saying is that because Hill got Drinkwater and Vaz Te in and played Butterfield regularly he is therefore a crap manager? It wasnt Hill's fault theyve left. He's effectively having to manage a team which has had its best players nicked or injured. As to your other point, I think time will tell. I do think Wiseman will be a good replacement for Hassell in the long term. Done seems to be improving. Davies I'm reserving judgement on at the moment. McNulty I think is better than a lot of people on here think he is. Golbourne, Dawson and Dagnell comments should be reserved for now as its still early days.. Thats the problem with people on here and football fans in general... they cant see past the end of their nose.. I say it again, I have seen enough to think that Hill is potentially a very good manager. He has no money and still people belittle him!!

wiseman can't defend, neither can mcnulty. dagnall isn't a footballer. davies' 1st touch is a tackle, and is garbage one on one. he hasn't had any players nicked, that's footballing life. i would agree done is probably the 1 one player that has got better. there will be 7k at some league games at oakwell next season.

    shirt

JayMac - Rather play with ten men than that fool

Wonder if Hill will actually inform the team to try an have more than one shot tommorow unilke at Coventry ????

OOOOOppppssss I forgot we are actually at home, Hill may have to show some iniciative and tactical nounce and try to get at least a point.

I think youre right about mac to a point, he's not good enough long term... a penalty waiting to happen. Doesnt change my view of Hill though. I suspect he wants to replace him himself...

People backing Hill is fine. I can get behind all that.

What I don't understand is why develop that hypothetical situation in order to have a "pop" at the so called anti-Hill brigade. Serves no useful purpose to me. . .

Then the people who stay away are short-sighted fools in my opinion. It's ok to say we havent had players nicked but we have. Footballing life it may be, but do we blame Hill for that? Obviously some of us do. We have a small playing staff as it is without the heart being taken out of our midfield and attack. Managing a small budget and having players 'nicked' or injured is in the current situation evidence that the manager is doing really well. robins had more resources at his disposal last year or so...

JayMac should never wear the red shirt again he is a weak link week in week out

Plus the jury is still out on quite a lot of his signings but fingers crosed tommorow he informs the players to actually try and win the game instead of a nil nil stalemate, especially against those Forest scabs, we need three points to stay clear of the relegation pack.

I think its basically because my gut feeling is that Hill is a 'good' guy and there is a lot of doom and gloom on here in my opinion. Just my view thats all and we all have a view...

I agree, we could do with the points. Hoprefully we'll both play well AND get the points. The three points on their own would be good enough though

I agree, I think he is a good guy. I think he might do well at Barnsley. I don't think there is anything wrong with constructive criticism though, as long as that is all it is. Thats what football fans do no matter who they support.

I think this anti-Hill Vs Hill-lovers has gone way too far now.
