OK, I admit I left it until the last day to renew my ST But Hell Fire........surely there is a better system of getting people through the ticket office faster than the present system The current system goes a bit like this - hand your renewal letter over - women behind counter then looks at it writes something stares at the computer screen for 5 minutes gets up and walks into the side office comes back looks at the computer screen again writes something else takes your credit card off you writes something else goes into the side office again comes back gives you something to sign looks at the computer screen again then puts something in your ST hand you the ST And off you go In the mean time theres dozens of fans waiting to get served Why cant it go summert like this hand renew sheet over women says put your card in the machine and put you pin number in she has a box of STs at the side of her she grabs one - writes on a slip of paper where the ticket is for puts it in the ST and passes it to you with the receipt from the pin machine Job done...........off yer go ...........30 seconds max instead of the 5 to 10 minutes it takes now The current system seems very unproffesional Can you imagine going to a shop or buying petrol and having all this palarva
dealt with me in about 3minutes on friday not so bad. agree they should have the chip and pin machines in to make the process a little quicker, however the main cause of queing can often be people renewing mutilple tickets not bringing there forms ect. I have never had any problems in general in the box office though.
Or a guy in front of me who just wanted to ask if, at same time as renewing, he could also buy one for a seat that wasn't previously taken - and then when told he could, he left!
Glad I went on Friday. It was fairly busy on Friday afternoon when I got mine. I had to go back yesterday to swap my sons shirt. People were lined up right round the club shop counter and into the box office. As I was getting into my car I told a bloke with some renewal forms to expect a long wait. He replied " i wasnt that bothered anyway" and turned around and left. All this was at noon when they were due to shut. Bet they must have stayed open all day.
there is a bit more to it http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=76337&mid=484981#M484981
RE: they were due to shut at Youre right. I rushed over because I missed out last Saturday by 15 mins or so. It turns out they did stay open till 2.00 yesterday.
No "chip and pin" when I went down there The lady was very nice, and didn't need to leave her seat at any point during the transaction. It took no more that a couple of minutes...
They finished serving at 2 to 2-30.................if thats true then changes have to be made Last day to renew............and they close the ticket office at 2-30 That aint a business....................thats a charity (doh) (doh) (doh) Such a powerful brand to sell.............and it just aint happening !!!
